Body Relief: Birch Essential Oil

Birch Essential Oil is a derivative of the Betulaceae family, Sweet Birch (Betula lenta). The health benefits of Birch Essential Oil can be attributed to its potential properties as a tonic, disinfectant, stimulant, antidepressant, analgesic, detoxifying, antirheumatic, antiarthritic, and antiseptic substance.

Birch oil helps relieve joint and muscle pain, headaches and cramps throughout the body. It does this by promoting blood circulation and the smooth regulation of blood flow, thus preventing joint and muscle pains.

It has high levels of analgesic and cortisone-like qualities which are very effective in providing pain relief to muscles and joints caused by various conditions, be it from arthritis, rheumatism or even any injury. The potential detoxifying property of birch oil can also aid in this, as it possibly removes toxins from the body which are the root causes of these circulatory diseases.

Hence, birch essential oil is a good choice to invest in as a pain relief natural remedy for joint and muscular pains!

Instructions

To ease muscular pains and sore joints, you can massage the birch essential oil and rub it onto the desired parts once every day until the pain eases.

To apply topically, add no more than 2 drops of birch to the affected area. The oil can also be massaged into the neck and shoulders as a tension buster.

The blend is most effective when massaged until warm. Hence, it's best to apply before going to bed. The oil will take effect quicker as the pores open easier when the environment is warm enough.

You can also add a few drops of birch essential oil to your bath and soak in your aching joints after a long day. Then relax as the tension and ache slowly fades away from your body.

Birch essential oil can also be used to relieve headaches. Simply add 1-2 drops of birch essential oil and massage it onto your temples. You can also add a few drops to a compress and press it onto your head.

Warning

Birch essential oil should not be used on open wounds or mucous membranes. Do not ingest birch essential oil. Always consult your doctor or physician if you are pregnant or breastfeeding due to its powerful effects that could hurt their child.
